Ven. Drubpon Ngawang Teaches Bardo Practice

Ven. Drubpon Ngawang Tenzin: Teachings on the Bardo Meditation Practice of the 2nd Gyalwang Drukpa Gyalwa Kunga Paljor.

In view of the pandemic security rules, Drubpon Ngawang Tenzin taught online from the European Drukpa Center in Plouray at the invitation of Drukpa Hamburg on January 30 and 31, 2021. Drubpon Ngawang La gave in-depth teachings on the prayer text of the Bardo Prayer of the 2nd Gyalwang Drukpa. Using the text of Tsele Natsok Rangdröl "Guide through the 4 Bardos" (tib. intermediate state), Drubpon La explained very profoundly and vividly all the stages that make up the samsaric cycle of living and dying.

Through regular practice, continuous study of the six realms of existence, conscious release of attachments, and the practice of wholesome and avoidance of unwholesome actions, we can prepare ourselves for dying and the "journey" from death to rebirth while we are still alive, thereby creating very good circumstances. Furthermore, we can do this practice for dying or deceased fellow human beings.

Drupbon Ngawang La continued to teach the different paths that can open up in death and in the Bardo and explained how to follow them to achieve enlightenment, or to be reborn in the best possible circumstances in the Devachen. Especially at the moment, when many people are dying due to the Covid crisis, the Bardo prayer is an extremely precious practice and a great help.

Thank you Venerable Drubpon Ngawang La for the precious teachings and many valuable inspirations!
