H.E. Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche in Hamburg:
Teachings and initiation in Chenresig

In the scope of his Europe tour H. E. Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche hast also visited Hamburg again in January. He gave teachings and an initiation in Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion, on January 21^st and 22^nd.

On the first day Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche explained which obstacles and solutions there are on the way to genuine love and practiced compassion. Thereby he especially described the handling of anger and attachment. True happiness is only to be found in one´s own mind. Wishes to happiness on the outside, but also judgments and assignments of guilt, would consistently cause disappointment and separation.

The highlight of the second day of the profound Dharma-teachings of H.E. Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche was the initiation in the Chenrezig practice.

Thuksey Rinpoche taught in detail that the Tsok ceremony could decrease our attachment, provided that the offerings are given absolutely free and with pure motivation. He explained that the Dharma-practice is not only restricted to a formal practice in the morning. We are able to apply the Dharma in every second and to exercise ourselves for example in patience, compassion or generosity.

Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche is one of the most important Drukpa masters and supporting pillars of the Drukpa lineage. In his previous incarnation he was the first teacher of His Holiness.
