Drukpa Hamburg invites you to get to know the Drukpa order, one of the central schools of Tibetan Buddhism with over 800 years of experience. The order is also known as “Dongyu Pälden Drukpa” – the “spiritual lineage of the glorious dragons”. Discover their teachings and their humanitarian work which are characterized by charity and human dignity.

H.H. the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa initiated this school in the year 1206 as Tsangpa Gyare. Since then He is the founder and head of the Drukpa order. As a modern ambassador of humanity H.H. advocates worldwide peace, education, compassion, equality and conservation of nature. In January 2010 he honoured the city of Hamburg with His visit.

Visit Drubpon Ngawang Tenzin

Before the great 800 year celebration of the Drukpa order in August in Plouray/France, Ven. Drubpon Ngawang Tenzin will come to Hamburg again (30.06./01.07.). On this occasion he will give teachings to the "Bardo Prayer", which was written by H.H. the 2nd Gyalwang Drukpa Kunga Paljor (1428-1476). In this prayer the great potential for transformation of death and Bardo gets comprehensively demonstrated in a concentrated and extremely profound mode.
