Climate change, pollution, digitalization, resource exploitation - society is more than ever confronted with challenges that have a global impact. On which values can a secure future be shaped?
During his visit to Berlin from November 12 to 15, 2019, the Gyalwang Drukpa answered these questions in numerous interviews and met personalities who are working tirelessly for a sustainable future.
The Gyalwang Drukpa at the UN Climate Change Conference in Katowice: "An urgent correction of our moral path - it´s now or never"
At the opening of the UN Climate Change Conference in December 2018 in Katowice, Poland, the Gyalwang Drukpa delivered a speech at the Action Hub on the COP 24 site, "An urgent correction of our moral path - it's now or never." He drew attention to the urgency of first acknowledging climate change. The consequences of climate change are still being ignored worldwide, he said.
#Trillion Trees - Planting Trees for Climate Protection
Whether in the Himalayas, in Monaco or in Hamburg: every newly planted tree helps climate protection. On the initiative of the Live To Love Germany Foundation, the Gyalwang Drukpa visited Europe from March 8 to 12, 2018 - first he was the guest of honor at the launch of the #Trillion Trees project of the "Plant for the Planet" organization - then he traveled on to Hamburg to plant the first trees of the million promised in Monaco together with the Live To Love team.
"Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance“ The Gyalwang Drukpa eaks on the topic of "Extremism"
At the invitation of the ZEIT Foundation, the Gyalwang Drukpa participated in a panel discussion at the "Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance" in Hamburg on August 18, 2016. The focus was on the topic of "Extremism". International experts exchanged views on the topic of "Finding Approaches to a Multifaceted Security Challenge." The Gyalwang Drukpa spoke about religion and extremism. He emphasized the importance of humanity, saying it is more important than religion. It is crucial, he said, that each individual takes action to change the world.

The Gyalwang Drukpa was a guest at the 52nd Munich Security Conference from February 12-14, 2016, attended by more than 60 foreign and defense ministers. The visit was jointly organized by Live To Love International, Drukpa Publications and Live To Love Germany.

Visit in challenging times: At the invitation of the Live To Love Germany Foundation, His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa came to Hamburg against the backdrop of the current refugee situation, the attacks in Paris and climate change.
The focus was on meetings with leading personalities of Hamburg to enter into dialogue and discuss possible solutions. Stops included the House of the Future, the Übersee-Club and the World Future Council.
The Gyalwang Drukpa in Hamburg: "Love is acting"
On the occasion of the establishment of the Live To Love Germany Foundation on September 9, 2014, the Gyalwang Drukpa visited Hamburg to celebrate the historic moment. Thereby he contributed in his lectures to a deeper understanding of the message of Live To Love. In numerous meetings he touched the hearts of many people with his lively and humorous freshness.

In a multitude of interviews, talks, visits and appearances, His Holiness has met an indescribable number of people and touched and inspired them deeply. He has prepared the ground for the further growth of Live To Love in Germany and on all occasions has expressed the encouragement to take responsibility for one's own life. With His fresh and direct way, He has always pointed out the interconnectedness with all beings and life situations and opened up further meaning-filling perspectives in a completely undogmatic way.
First Visit of His Holiness in Hamburg
In January 5 and 6, 2010, His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa visited the Hanseatic City of Hamburg for the first time. After a town hall reception at the invitation of the First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Ole von Beust, and an entry in the city's Golden Book, His Holiness gave an address on "Is Buddhism a Religion?" and teachings on the question "What is Life Worth?" during the two-day event at the Curio House. We Hamburg Drukpas were and are extremely pleased and happy about this honor and the very positive response to this high Buddhist visit with about 700 listeners in the Curio House and a large media echo.
